My Story

Marlene Ramirez is a Human Resources Strategist and her corporate experience includes 23 years leading operations and human resources roles.  

​

Her trajectory as an HR executive encompasses developing and implementing strategic solutions that result in positive contributions to the business. Marlene has a solid diversity, inclusion, and belonging background that ignites company culture and employment engagement.

​

She has held global, national, and regional roles in scope, and her areas of expertise include supporting C-Suite leaders and senior management addressing operational and business goals by taking the organization to the next level. 

​

Marlene’s most recent corporate role was global head of talent development, talent acquisition, learning and development, diversity, inclusion, engagement, and culture for PriceSmart Inc., contributing to aligning the organization and streamlining processes. She had previously executed a senior organizational development consultant role strengthening the C-Suite for Baptist Hospital of Miami. A 5,000-employee institution where she focused on the development of leaders from supervisor levels and above, the coaching of high-performing leaders, employee communication, and raising the bar on company culture and employee engagement.

She has had various roles working with Fortune 100 organizations such as Merck & Company, Coca-Cola Enterprises, and DIAGEO. These roles have provided her with solid background knowledge in leading Talent Management and Learning and Development globally, Executive and high-potential coaching, for individuals and teams, implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS), and cultivating relationships across different company cultures, supplier and distributor relationships, pharmaceutical sales and leadership development, retail and club operations, women in leadership programs as well as public sector relationships, public relations, and communications experience.

She has supported organizations to start, assess, and design learning and development programs, train leadership, execute culture implementation, and broader management teams relative to their diversity and inclusion practice. She has provided inclusive leader coaching to multiple senior management leadership, shared best practices, and counseled companies on dealing with particular talent retention and engaged women leaders.

​

Marlene’s experience as a public speaker includes being recognized as a 2011 Global Brand Ambassador for the Drink Responsibly campaign for Johnnie Walker in Latin America. She has represented various community-related efforts such as Campo Viejo Women Winemakers, Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity, Central America Food banks, and supporting high school females seeking career guidance.

Marlene, originally from Cuba, has a lovely family and enjoys traveling abroad. She has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Barry University and a graduate degree in Management from the University of Phoenix.  She has been an Executive Coaching for twenty-three years and is certified by the (International Coaching Federation and Blessing White). She is also certified in various Talent Assessment tools including Korn Ferry, Hogan Assessment, and DISC. She is also a Change Management certified professional by (Prosci), and certified in Leading with Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Safety by (Blue EQ).

Her passion includes helping people “Be their best self” and embracing change.
